Games

Throughout my studies and concurrent free time, I have made over 25 games or prototypes, in genres ranging from FPS to mobile puzzles, to local co-op farming simulators and adventure games. This has given me solid experience in game engines like Unity, Twine and Game Maker, as well as the in house TGA2D engine and the 3D engine Wondrous Machine built by me and my group of fellow programmers at TGA.

On this page, you can check out a few of the projects, or chose to read more about them if you would like to.

  • Engine: Wondrous Machine

  • Genre: Diablo III Clone

  • Made in Fall 2021

Spite: Blood Relic was my first project using our own homemade engine. At first, we all worked on engine specific tasks, but later on

I focused on gameplay and tool-related tasks. Among other things I made a few of the player abilities, tools for the player and the player and debug cameras, level resets and player death handling, killed some enemy bugs and in general kept the game creation flow steady by lending a hand wherever necessary.

  • Engine: TGA2D

  • Genre: 2D Platformer

  • Made in Winter 2021

This platformer is one of my favourite games I have been part of making so far. I really feel like the game turned out well, and that the team was truly engaged in creating it. I learned a lot about using plug ins for the level parsing, and how to communicate with the user of one of my systems when I wanted feedback or how to give them information about how to use it. This game was also the first time I encountered Dear ImGui, and I have been using it ever since.

  • Engine: Wondrous Machine

  • Genre: FPS

  • Made in Winter 2022

Blob-Lobber was a first-person shooter in which you had the task of exterminating the slimes that had infected a space station. The main mechanics was to vacuum up the slimes and then use them as ammo to kill other slimes, giving you a few different ammo types in your arsenal. I primarily worked on a visual scripting system heavily inspired by Unreal’s Blueprints.

  • Engine: TGA2D

  • Genre: Adventure Game

  • Made in Spring 2021

Inspired by early Zelda games, Raven's Cloak is an adventure game where you embark on a quest to revenge your father by taking down the goddess he once served. To your aid you have a sword, an axe, a gun and explosives, and a very secretive old man.

I worked mostly on the player's abilities and created the dialogue system and NPCs.
